Hreflang and canonical audit across 16 languages
DigestSEO tested raw HTML returned for twelve selected page families in all sixteen of its locale versions. Every requested URL passed the defined automated checks. This is a first-party technical implementation study, not a measurement of industry-wide SEO errors or Google indexing.
What was checked
The crawl sampled final HTTP status, self-canonical URLs, the configured HTML language, expected alternate hreflang entries and reciprocal references. The dated CSV also records indexability hints in raw HTML. It does not measure actual Google indexing, search rankings, or translation quality.
Observed: 2 November 2026, from a single website. The public dataset contains one record per requested URL, with 0 failed fetches. The reproducible script uses bounded concurrency and a per-request timeout.
